Book Reviews

Here will eventually be every review for everything I have read. For the time being only some of the more recent ones will be listed as transferring my older reviews to this new format requires a lot of manual labour and rewriting.

The Fellowship Of The Ring (The Lord Of The Rings #1)

The Fellowship of the Ring is dense and slow-paced, but rich in lore and world-building. A slog to read, but an amazing tale. 9/10

Famous

Famous by Blake Crouch is a gripping 1-sit thriller that starts fast but ends abruptly, falling short of its potential. 6.5/10

The Hobbit

The Hobbit surprised with its charm and depth despite quirks in style and world logic. A slower start, but ultimately a delightful adventure. 9/10

The Paradise Problem

The Paradise Problem is a romcom that juggles class critique, steamy romance, and tonal shifts. Fun but flawed and morally dubious ending. 7.5/10

Paddington Goes to Town (Paddington #8)

Paddington Goes to Town charms again with cosy mischief and holiday warmth, though a slightly harsher tone dims the magic just a touch. 7.5/10

Blood of Elves (The Witcher #3)

Blood of Elves marks a shift toward full-length storytelling in The Witcher saga, but slow pacing and talk-heavy chapters dilute its momentum. 6/10
